COME, Holy Spirit, God and Lord!
   Be all Thy graces now outpoured
On the believer’s mind and soul,
To strengthen, save and make us whole.
 
2  Thou strong Defence, Thou holy Light,
Teach us to know our God aright,
And call Him Father from the heart;
The word of life and truth impart;
 
3  That we may love no stranger’s creed,
Nor follow other teachers’ lead,
But Jesus for our Master own,
And put our trust in Him alone.
 
4  From every error keep us free;
Let none but Christ our Master be,
That we in living faith abide,
