PRAISE, everlasting praise, be paid To Him that earth’s foundation laid; Praise to the God Whose strong decrees Sway all creation as He please. |
| Praise to the goodness of the Lord, Who rules His people by His Word; And has, as sure as His decrees, Set forth the kindest promises. |
| Firm are the words the Scriptures give, Sweet words on which God’s children live: Here is the very voice of God Who spoke, and spread the skies abroad. |
| O, for a strong, a lasting faith, Believing all the Lord has said! Owning the message of His Son, Making the joys of Heaven our own. |
| Then, though the earth’s foundations shake, And all the powers of nature break, Our steadfast souls shall fear no more Than solid rocks when billows roar. |
| Our everlasting hopes arise Above the present, changing skies, Where the eternal Builder reigns Who, risen souls, in joy, sustains. |
